Genevieve Swifte works between the Arctic and Australia, drawing and photography. Her work is held by Australian and International collections and she has been the recipient of numerous grants and awards. She was Artist in Residence at the Upernavik Museum, Northwest Greenland in 2010, Graduate in Residence at the Photomedia workshop, The Australian National University School of Art in 2011 and recently exhibited for the Antarctica and Music Festival and Conference at The Australian National University School of Music. Future projects include a return to Greenland, a collaboration with US composer Cheryl E. Leonard and an exhibition at Lowrise Projects in Melbourne from the 14th of October to the 2nd of November, 2011. |
