Kim McDonald was born in Leongatha, Victoria, in 1961 and has been working as an artist for nearly 30 years. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts (Fine Arts), majoring in Printmaking at Chisholm Institute of Technology, Melbourne in 1984, and continued with further Printmaking Studies at The Victorian College of the Arts, Melbourne, 1985-86 and The Emily Carr School of Art & Design, Vamcouver, Canada, 1986. Her interdisciplinary artistic project titled 'Zone of Sensatin: somewhere beyond sight', includes an investigation into art as a sensory experience that draws on her training in Printmaking, Movement and Dance. |
