Dyson is a multi-disciplinary artist, currently doing visual arts research for her Master of Fine Arts through Monash University. Her current practice investigates place, memory, and storytelling as well as personal and communal identity within a sense of place.

The project involves community participation via dialogical exchange in an effort to record and archive community experiences and understandings stimulated from a reflection of place. Mediums being explored and suggested to convey these recordings of narrative include sound art installations, narrowband radio access, printed artist books, woven soft sculpture, sculptural multiples and installations.
