Biography

Cathy Leahy is Senior Curator of Prints and Drawings at the National Gallery of Victoria, where she has worked since 1990.  She held the Harold Wright Scholarship at the British Museum’s Department of Prints and Drawings in 1989, and worked as an Assistant Curator in the Department of International Prints and Illustrated Books at the National Gallery of Australia from 1984. She has curated exhibitions and published on the prints of Dürer and Rembrandt, the history of lithography, the French illustrated book of the 19th and 20th centuries, contemporary British prints and contemporary Australian prints and drawings.  Her current projects include a catalogue of the British watercolours in the collection of the National Gallery of Victoria and co-ordinating the publication of the revised edition of the catalogue raisonné of Fred Williams’ prints by James Mollison.
