Monash University invited artists, curators, print studios, writers, academics, collectors, students and industry to participate in IMPACT 7: Intersections & Counterpoints. Information regarding the processes is noted below. We called for:

Submission Guidelines and Deadlines

"Proposal submissions are invited from within and outside Australia. Proposals accepted for the conference will require a registration fee (fee to be advised). Monash University will not pay for travel and accommodation nor any proposal-related costs, e.g. poster printing, transportation, framing."

  1. Conference Papers and Themed Panels

    Please send a 500-word paper abstract or a 1–2 page outline of the themed panel discussion and presenters, together with the completed Top Sheet (Download Top Sheet - RTF 66kb or PDF 33kb). Save all your Word documents as a PDF if submitting via e-mail. Papers selected for the conference will be double-blind refereed and published in due course.

  2. Abstract Deadline: Friday 30 July 2010
    Notification of Acceptance: September 2010
    Paper Deadline: Friday 31 December 2010

  3. On-campus proposals for Individual and Group Exhibitions, Academic Poster Presentations, Workshops and Demonstrations, Open Portfolios, Master Classes*, Trade Fair**.
    * Master Classes: Conducted off-campus with host venues throughout Victoria.
    ** Trade Fair: A proposal is not required, please email Ruth Bain (Project Manager IMPACT7).

    Important Note: Proposal submissions are required only for events wanting to be held on-campus during 27-30 September 2011. Monash University will not pay for any transportation, installation, framing, etc costs if your proposal submission is accepted. Independently organised off-campus events can be listed on the Month of Print page, please refer to that page for further information.

    To submit an on-campus proposal, please send:
      • Completed Top Sheet, download here (doc 46kb) or (pdf 68kb).
      • A clear and concise 1–2 page written outline of your proposal's concept.
      • Information about your required space, technical requirements, hanging instructions (are the works framed/unframed?), and any other relevant information.
      • Images: max. 10 for individuals or max. 2 per person for larger groups. Do not post CDs or attach JPEGS to your email.
      • For video proposals: include stills taken from your video, do not send CDs or attach movie files.
      • One PDF (or Word doc) which contains all text + images.
      • Please do not send your CV or Artist's Statement.

    Proposal Deadline: Friday 01 October 2010
    Notification of Acceptance: January 2011
