From the Rainforest to the Sea: Printmaking in Yarrabah
Elizabeth Hunger and Taicee Pearson
Each Wednesday until 2012
An exciting new partnership between Djumbunji Press and Yarrabah State School commenced in July 2011. Senior Printmaker Elizabeth Hunter, Apprentice Printmaker Taicee Pearson, and a rotating roster of Indigenous artists working in printmaking are delivering a total of 20 workshops to a group of participating art students onsite at the school on Wednesdays. This project has been generously supported by Arts Queensland through their Artist in Residence Program, in partnership with Education Queensland and the Australia Council for the Arts. The project, spanning over three school terms, will conclude with an exhibition in March 2012.
